Hello, this is FutureLetter.

To provide a more stable service and stronger security, we have moved the infrastructure that runs FutureLetter to Google Cloud. Here is what changed and what it means for you.

• Letters are now stored in Google Cloud Firestore, a managed database service operated by Google, in its Taiwan region. Previously they were kept on a server we ran ourselves.
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, the database accepts no direct connection from browsers or apps, and Google Cloud takes an automatic backup every day.
• Scheduled delivery now runs on Google Cloud's scheduling service, making delivery on the chosen date more reliable.
• Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service have been updated to describe where your data is stored and which countries it may be transferred to.

Nothing changes for you. Letters you have already written will be delivered on their scheduled dates exactly as before, and there is nothing you need to do.

The v1.1.0 update adds new features and improves existing ones. The main changes are as follows.

• For site security, sending a letter now requires confirming your own email address. If you send anonymously, your address is not shown to the recipient.
• Improved the letter view screen.
• Launched an announcements page.
